STEPS TO MAKING BISCUITS

If it seems the least bit DRY...add a little more milk...
just dust it with a little flour,
dust your hands, rolling pin and biscuit cutter
with a little flour.
(a clean can makes the BEST biscuit cutter in the world)
Your dough should be hard to handle without flouring your hands
because it should be very soft.
2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbls. baking powder
3/4 cup buttermilk (I always add at least 1 cup)
1/3 cup shortening

Roll as thick or as thin as you like..
450 oven for about 20 minutes..
always check as ovens vary

It doesn't hurt a single, solitary thing if you grill some ham slices
